About Us

Cherie Hearts is a premium group of childcare centres, specializing in the provision of early childhood education and related services in Singapore and the Region. Having won numerous national awards, Cherie Hearts has continued to grow from strength to strength, in a bid to continually better ourselves for our children. Working closely with PTC School International Pte Ltd, Cherie Hearts’ training wing, we believe in relentless R&D so as to constantly improve our programmes. Working in close relationship with us is Ms Puspa Sivan, our senior consultant who has almost 25 years of teaching and lecturing experience in the field. As a firm believer in the NURTURING QUALITY FAMILY TIME, Cherie Hearts positions itself as a one-stop education centre where children are also exposed to a wide range of enrichment programmes, so as to free up much time and enable parents to spend precious weekends with their little ones.

Programme

Our curriculum team is made up of individuals and specialists with vast experience in the field of early childhood education. The team engages in constant R&D to evolve the curriculum to tailor it to the needs of all our children. With a strong emphasis on independent and hands-on learning, the curriculum is designed thematically, where incidental learning is strongly encouraged. As such, learning often takes place out of the classrooms as well. Apart from the core programme, our little Cherians are also exposed to a wide range of enrichment programmes such as third languages (Japanese, French etc), piano lessons, speech and drama, abacus, Chinese calligraphy, special English and computer lessons, amongst many more. This is to ensure that our children develop holistically, and it is also in line with Cherie Hearts’ strong belief in quality family time.

People

We recruit attitude and train competence. Cherie Hearts is made up of a team of dynamic individuals whose first passion is children. All our teachers are professionally trained, holding diplomas, degrees and also Masters in the field of early childhood education. We believe in constantly upgrading ourselves, so that we remain updated with the latest trends and issues in the field.

Parents

We are firm believers in parental involvement and constantly encourage strong parent partnership between parents and the school. We pride ourselves in the incorporation of many parent involvement initiatives and practices, which have also been highlighted in MCYS handbook. Examples of our parental involvement initiatives include our quarterly parent teacher conference, bi-annual parents feedback session, parents as testers programme, parents committees which help organize various activities and excursion for the school and children etc. We encourage parents to be as involved in their children’s education, so that together, we might foster and nurture a holistic education for our children.

Environment

It is our belief that optimal learning can only take place when children are comfortable in the environment that they are in. Such an environment should also be designed in a manner that it is conducive and facilitates learning. Cherie Hearts places great emphasis on the layout and design of all our centres. Classrooms are divided into various learning corners to encourage independent learning and also to reinforce concepts learnt during lessons. There is also a strong balance between indoor and outdoor learning. With the introduction of our plant and animal kingdoms, our little Cherians also get the chance to learn such skills as gardening and animal responsibility.
